CONVERSACIONES CON UN VAMPIRO… 27 AÑOS DE NO VIDA (Cuantas tonterías en el camino)

Deberíais estar encendiendo velas a los dioses a los que adoréis, simplemente por el hecho de que os hayan permitido gozar del privilegio de haber llegado a contemplar este fastuoso momento de infinita gloria que celebra nuestro vigesimoséptimo aniversario.

¡¡Muchos son los llamados… pero pocos los elegidos…!!

Con este “speech” espero por lo menos haberos hecho abrir los ojos con indignación, y pensar algo así como, “…¡¡¡ pero qué coño dice este mamarracho !!!...”, en caso afirmativo, habré desarrollado bien mi trabajo, y si no es así, también me sentiré halagado, porque eso significara que me conocéis lo suficiente para prever este tipo de argucias dialécticas, y que por tanto seguís nuestra andadura radiofónica, (y hace unos años digital), desde hace más o menos tiempo.

De cualquier forma, debo de admitir, que en el fondo me considero un privilegiado, alguien que ha conseguido crear y dar continuidad a una idea, que durante un espacio de tiempo que se ha extendido durante casi treinta años, y, a caballo entre dos siglos ha logrado en muchas ocasiones volverse mas grande que cualquier sueño que hubieran podido tener ninguno de los que originalmente decidieron embarcarse para llevarla a cabo…

Y es que no solo nos han premiado, (incluso como “mejor programa de salsa” XD), y nos han citado en artículos en la prensa escrita, sino que hemos tenido el honor a lo largo de estos años de entrevistar a gente realmente importante del mundillo musical, (Roxette, Sonata Arctica, Tori Sparks, Los Suaves), e incluso sentar ante nuestros micrófonos, a personajes como Pepe Rubianes, Guillermo del Toro, o Quentin Tarantino.

Hemos realizado colaboraciones con fotógrafos y modelos de otros países, reportajes sobre festivales de música multitudinarios, eventos masivos sobre tatuaje, comic, manga, o motocicletas, participamos en festivales temáticos con lo mejor del mundo del cine, la crema de la cultura, y también con lo mas golfo.  Apariciones en televisión en cadenas nacionales… e incluso hemos llegado a organizar fiestas, en las que se ha tenido que tener esperando a los asistentes mas de una hora, por haber copado completamente el aforo.

En fin, para resumirlo de la forma mas simple posible, ha sido un largo y muy fructífero camino, para un pequeño programa que germino en la emisora del distrito de Sants-Montjuic, y al que todos vosotros habéis hecho grande con vuestro cariño, lealtad y apoyo.

Es muy posible que haya detractores que os cuenten historias falaces acerca de que estamos estancados, anticuados, mohosos, rancios y apolillados… no me voy ni a molestar en rebatir todas esas afirmaciones porque las opiniones son como los culos, cada persona tiene la suya, pero… haceros una pregunta… Si, 27 años después, el “Conversaciones” ha sobrevivido a otros programas emblemáticos, con mas medios y de mayor envergadura de su misma época, y sigue ahí, emitiéndose en directo, gozando de una salud envidiable, consiguiendo todos los objetivos que se propone, (como por ejemplo la reciente colaboración puntual de Doug Marcaida, estrella de “Forjado a Fuego"), y siendo escuchado por personas repartidas por todo el planeta… Algo estaremos haciendo bien, ¿No…?

Pues nada, que sepáis que pretendemos seguir cometiendo los mismos errores que nos han traído aquí, por lo menos durante otros cincuenta años mas, o hasta que caiga el meteorito… Lo que suceda primero.

Por supuesto, no sería honesto, si no dijera que el próximo sábado, durante una noche en la que se conjugaran la celebración del día mundial de la radio, y el cumpleaños numero veintisiete del programa que tan orgullosamente lidero, no me acordare de tantos y tantos seres especiales que nos han acompañado en este camino.

Personas del calibre de José Juja, Alex Barragán Bäsler, Marcos López Gago, Marcos Bravo, Dahlia Țepeș, Luna Gris, Javier Polonio Campoy, Txell de Moreno, CarminaSky García Pérez, Isabel Vizcaíno, Jorge Mollón, Desirée Yagüe González, Vanessa Yagüe González, Xavier Torres Esquerra, Isabel Vizcaíno Ramos, David Roca, Juan José Betanzos, Alex Salgado López, Jordi Esquerra, Marcos Cabaleiro Costa, Cristian Rofastes, Hellen Lasombra, Sath Delacroix, El Orko Panzer, Cristian Timoneda, y muchos otros que quedan pendientes de citar, que con su amistad, buen hacer y sentido del humor contribuyen, o han contribuido a crear esta peculiar visión nuestra del mundo de las sombras.

Cuando llegamos a este punto, siempre me emociono…  Es absolutamente necesario que siempre hagamos una mención especial a nuestros queridos Laura González, (Mamá Elfa), Dan Escachx Tena, (El Irlandés Loco), Carles Ferrandez Balaguer, (Patillas), y Daniel Vico (El Orko Paramilitar), que, aunque un día nos dejaron pervivirán siempre presentes en nuestros corazones…

Una variopinta familia con la que hemos podido vivir la evolución del medio radiofónico, desde sus tiempos dorados de la FM, hasta el advenimiento de internet tal y como lo conocemos hoy en día.  Una era digital que ha permitido que, en estos tiempos peculiares, hayamos podido seguir estando a vuestro lado.

Y ahora aquí, en este año en el que todos esperamos que la complicada situación global que nos ha tocado vivir pueda quedar atrás, Yo, personalmente, solo espero que “Conversaciones Con Un Vampiro”, me siga dando la oportunidad de escandalizar a los “bien pensantes”, ofender a los “ofendiditos”, y derretir a los “snowflakes”, y así, aportar mi pequeño granito de arena para hacer un poco mas divertida la vida de todos aquellos que nos escuchan.

¡Por cierto…!, durante el programa podremos escuchar la conclusion de la historia conocida como “¡ONCE UPON A TIME… IN TIME!”, un gran final os lo aseguro…

CONVERSATIONS WITH A VAMPIRE…  27 YEARS OF NO LIFE (How much nonsense along the way)

You should be lighting candles to the gods you worship, simply because they have allowed you the privilege of having come to contemplate this lavish moment of infinite glory that celebrates our twenty-seventh anniversary.

Many are called ... but few are chosen...!

With this speach I hope at least I have made you open your eyes with indignation, and you have thought something like, "... but what the hell does this jerk say!!! ...", if so, I will have done very well my work, and if not, I will also be flattered, because that will mean that you know me well enough to foresee this type of dialectical tricks, and that therefore you follow our radio career, (and digital a few years ago), for quite some time .

In any case, I must admit that deep down I consider myself a privileged person, someone who has managed to create and give continuity to an idea, which during a period of time that has lasted for almost thirty years, and, halfway between two centuries it has managed on many occasions to become greater than any dream that any of those who originally decided to embark to carry it out could have had...

And it is that not only have they awarded us, (even as "best salsa program" XD), and we have been quoted in articles in the written press, but we have had the honor throughout these years of interviewing really important people of the musical scene, (Roxette, Sonata Arctica, Tori Sparks, Los Suaves), and even sit before our microphones, characters like Pepe Rubianes, Guillermo del Toro, or Quentin Tarantino.

We have collaborated with photographers and models from other countries, reports on multitudinous music festivals, events on tattoos, comics, manga, or motorcycles, we participate in thematic festivals with the best of the world of cinema, "la crem de la crem" of culture , and also with the kinkiest. Appearances on television in national networks ... and we have even organized parties, in which the audience had to wait for more than an hour, because they had completely filled the capacity.

To summarize it as simply as possible, it has been a long and very fruitful journey, for a small program that took its first steps in the station of the Sants-Montjuic district, and which all of you have made great with your love, loyalty and support.

It is very possible that there are detractors who tell you fallacious stories about that we are stagnant, outdated, moldy, stale and moth-eaten ... I am not even going to bother to refute all those claims because opinions are like asses, each person has their own, but ... ask you a question ...

Yes, 27 years later, "Conversaciones" has outlived other emblematic programs, with more media and greater scope of the same time, and is still there, broadcasting live, enjoying enviable health, achieving all the objectives that it sets itself , (as for example the recent collaboration of Doug Marcaida, star of Forged in Fire), and being heard by people all over the planet ... We will be doing something right, right ...?

And that you know that we intend to continue making the same mistakes that have brought us here, for at least another fifty years, or until the meteorite falls ... Whichever comes first.

Of course, it would not be honest, if I did not say that next Saturday, during a night in which the celebration of World Radio Day was combined, and the twenty-seventh birthday of the program that I so proudly lead, I will not remember so many and so many special beings who have accompanied us on this path.

When we get to this point, I always get excited ... It is absolutely necessary that we always make a special mention to our dear Laura González, (Elf Mom), Dan Escachx Tena, (Mad Irish), Carles Ferrandez Balaguer, (Sideburns), and Daniel Vico (The Paramilitary Ork), who, although one day they left us, will always remain present in our hearts ...

A diverse family with whom we have been able to experience the evolution of the radio medium, from its golden days of FM, to the advent of the internet as we know it today. A digital age that has allowed us, in these peculiar times, to continue to be by your side.

And now here, in this year in which we all hope that the complicated global situation that we have lived through can be left behind, I, personally, just hope that "Conversations With A Vampire" will continue to give me the opportunity to scandalize the "thinking well", offend the "offended", and melt the "snowflakes", and thus, do my little bit to make life a little more fun for all those who listen to us.

By the way…! During the program we will be able to hear the conclusion of the story known as “ONCE UPON A TIME… IN TIME!”, I assure you a great ending…
